Private Policy of Planet Cazmo

The Planet Cazmo website (the “Site”) is owned and operated by Pileated Pictures (“we” or “us”).  This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) discloses the practices of Planet Cazmo concerning information we obtain about you and how such information is used and shared.  Internet privacy is an issue that we take very seriously.  This Privacy Policy addresses these issues as well as additional privacy-related issues that we believe may be of interest to you. This Privacy Policy does not govern collection of information through any websites other than the Site, and does not govern the collection of information by our affiliates.

The Site is a website where users can participate in activities and play games.  Planet Cazmo is interested in promoting its activities, games and community online, and online safety is important to us.  Planet Cazmo is fully committed to complying with the provisions of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (“COPPA”).  Our information collection practices are described below.  We urge children to check with their parent or guardian before entering information on any website.  Furthermore, we at Planet Cazmo urge all users, if under the age of 18, to check with a parent or guardian and become familiar with online safety practices before participating in any activities on our Site.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

• The terms of this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. If we decide to change the Policy, we will post these changes on this website or provide other notification of our revised Policy so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and when we disclose it. As a result, you should check the Site regularly to determine if any changes have been made.  You agree that your continued use of the Site following any changes will constitute your affirmative consent to the revised Privacy Policy.

Information Collection and Use

Information that may be gathered online

It is our policy to require minimum collection of information from our visitors.  In order to participate in our online activities, Planet Cazmo does not require that children disclose more information than reasonably necessary.
We may gather several types of information through the Site: Anonymous Information and User-Specific Information.  Anonymous Information refers to information that does not personally identify you, such as IP address, screen name, demographic information and information about your interests.  User-Specific Information refers to information you provide to us that specifically identifies you as a user of the Site, such as your email address, or the e-mail address of a parent or guardian, in order to participate in activities on the Site.  This limited personal information is the only information gathered.  As explained in further detail below, we may also collect additional types of information from parents or guardians (such as credit card and billing information) when purchasing tokens on the Site.

Anonymous Information
Examples of ways in which we may collect Anonymous Information include:
Browser Information: Each time you come to the Site, we collect Information made available by your browser such as: (a) Internet Protocol (IP) address; (b) the address of the last URL visited prior to visiting the Site; and (c) Internet browser and platform type.
Additional Information: We may also collect Information you voluntarily provide such as: gender, age, interests, favorite weblinks, quotes and songs.  Such information would be included in your Profile page, or we may ask you a series of optional questions regarding your interests.

User-Specific Information
In order to access most features on the Site, you must become a registered user of the Site.  During registration for an account, we collect User-Specific Information, including your email address.  You may choose not to provide such User-Specific Information to us.  However, please note that this may affect our ability to provide you with a specific service or particular content, including saving avatar settings, searching for other users, and chatting.  In addition, we may also collect credit card and billing information from your parent or guardian if they purchase any products from our Site.

Use of Information

Information we collect is generally used for the following purposes:

• To build features that will make the Site easier to use, such as better user support.

• To analyze site usage, improve our content, and customize the Sites’ content, layout, and services. These uses improve our Services and better tailor them to meet your needs.

• To troubleshoot problems and enforce our Terms and Conditions of Use.

• Sharing of Information. Except for the information you choose to publicly disclose on the Site and except for information taken from parents or guardians, such as credit card and billing information, the information we collect from you is not shared with any other marketing partners or third parties.  However, we reserve the right to disclose Information, when we believe that such disclosure is appropriate to comply with the law or a request by a government official, to protect the rights or property of Planet Cazmo, or to enforce our Terms and Conditions of Use. In the event that Planet Cazmo or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, Information may be some of the transferred assets.

Agents and Other Vendors

We may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on behalf of Planet Cazmo. Examples include analyzing data, providing user assistance, processing credit card payments, and providing member services. Such agents may have access to Information needed to perform their functions, but may not use it for other purposes.

E-mail Newsletters

From time to time, Planet Cazmo offers the opportunity for users to receive e-mail newsletters. When you ask to receive email newsletters, we will collect your first name, email address and the email address of your parent or guardian. We will then send your parent or guardian an e-mail informing them of your request to receive the newsletters, at which time they will have the option to decline your receipt of the newsletters, and remove your information from our newsletter database. In addition, you or your guardian will have the opportunity at any time to request that we no longer send you newsletters by following the “unsubscribe” instructions found in the newsletters.

All information collected for e-mail newsletters will be used only to send the newsletter to the e-mail address provided, and may be disclosed, or shared with third parties who are engaged by us to handle the preparation and delivery of the newsletter. These third parties may not use the information for any other purpose.

User Disclosure of Information

We note that your use of the Site may result in the public disclosure of certain Information to others, should you choose to post personally identifiable information about yourself.  For example, during a chat session, your user name and Cazmo avatar will be visible to other users in the chat room. When using the Chat feature, you will have the ability to post various items of interest, including personal information about yourself.  Please be aware that any information you disclose in a chat room becomes public information – this information may be available to registered Site users and any visitors to the Site.  Once you post information in a chat room, you will not be able to edit or delete such information.  We urge you to carefully consider and exercise caution when deciding to disclose any personally identifiable information in a chat room.  We also urge all users to become familiar with online safety practices and encourage parents to monitor and participate in their child’s activities on the Internet.

The Planet Cazmo Site may contain advertising links, and links to other sites. Please be aware that this Site is not responsible for, and does not control, the business and privacy practices of other sites. We encourage you to be aware of this when you leave our site and to read the legal notices and privacy policies of each and every website you visit.
Security

Planet Cazmo endeavors to protect any User-Specific or personally-identifiable Information, both online and offline.
Every User who has an account on this Site is responsible for (i) keeping his or her account password confidential and secured, (ii) restricting access to his or her computer; and (iii) keeping the e-mail address associated with that account current.  Your username and password are for your use only.  You may not disclose your password to any other person.

A Special Note to Parents

Planet Cazmo provides online games, and it is our intent to offer a fun experience to all users.  In an effort to maintain a safe environment, parents can review user-specific information related to their child, request that such information be deleted, and refuse to allow any other collection or use of that child’s user-specific information To seek review of such information, please send an email with your request to Planet Cazmo at info@planetcazmo.com. Please include your name and contact information, the child’s name, your relationship to the child, and the user name and the email address used to create the Cazmo account. This procedure must be followed so that we can appropriately take action and verify your identity to ensure that you are the child’s parent or legal guardian.
